Andrei Rodzianko is a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager responsible for credit opportunities in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Prior to joining ICE Canyon in 2014, Mr. Rodzianko worked in the Emerging Markets group of Black River Asset Management (BRAM) for 9 years, last serving as Managing Director and Portfolio Manager of the CEEMEA corporate credit portfolio, which included a combination of investments in bonds, loans, and private placements. Before joining BRAM, he spent four years at Morgan Stanley as an analyst in High Yield Telecommunications Research in New York and in EMEA Sovereign Debt Strategy and Economics in London. Mr. Rodzianko graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania’s Management & Technology program (BAS, Electrical Engineering) and the Wharton School (BSE, Finance). He received his MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
Raul Ramirez is a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager responsible for Latin America. Prior to joining ICE Canyon in June 2017, Mr. Ramirez was a Portfolio Manager at Avenue Capital in London from 2006 to 2017, where he was responsible for the formation of the European Direct Loan platform, as well as Avenue’s Spanish and Italian Special Situations businesses. Previously, Mr. Ramirez was a Portfolio Manager at Goldentree Asset Management from 2005 to 2006 and worked at Morgan Stanley from 1996 to 2005 as a Principal on its High Yield desk, primarily covering Latin America Corporate debt. Mr. Ramirez is a graduate of the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (B.A. in Mechanical Engineering) and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania (MBA).
Hector Rocha is a Managing Director, covering Latin America, focusing on Energy (including Oil & Gas and Power sectors). Before joining ICE Canyon in 2007, Mr. Rocha served as an Associate in the investment banking division of Credit Suisse focusing on leveraged finance transactions. Prior to Credit Suisse, Mr. Rocha was a Project Manager for PSEG Brazil in a joint venture with Petrobras. Mr. Rocha started his career as an Associate with InterGen helping to develop the Camisea gas field in Peru. Mr. Rocha is a graduate from Harvard College (B.A. in Anthropology) and from the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania (M.B.A). He is a CFA Charterholder.
Rumen Ivanov is a Corporate Research Analyst covering credit opportunities in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Before joining ICE Canyon in 2015, Mr. Ivanov was a Vice President on the Leveraged Capital Markets team at Cantor Fitzgerald Europe where he focused on special situations, distressed credit and high yield across the EMEA region. Previously, Mr. Ivanov was an Associate at U.S. private equity firm, Water Street Partners. He began his career as an Analyst in Investment Banking for Goldman, Sachs & Co. Mr. Ivanov is a graduate of DePauw University (Summa Cum Laude, B.A., Economics) and the London Business School (MBA).
Jean Paul Cativiela
Jean Paul Cativiela is a Quantitative Analyst, responsible for the development of risk and portfolio management infrastructure across ICE Canyon strategies. Prior to joining ICE Canyon in 2015, Mr. Cativiela was a quantitative developer in the Emerging Markets Strategy group at Deutsche Bank. He began his career in the emerging markets as a research analyst at J.P. Morgan in 1996. Mr. Cativiela is a graduate of New York University (M.F.A.) and Occidental College (B.A., Literature and History, with honors and distinction).
Jose M. Singson

Head of Global Trading
Jose “Joel” M. Singson is Senior Vice President and Head of Global Trading with responsibility for all trading execution in debt, equities, and derivatives; as well as managing counterparty trading relationships and generating daily market intelligence. Prior to joining ICE Canyon in 2007, Mr. Singson served as Vice President and Head of Credit Trading for Emerging Markets Fixed Income at TCW from 1995 to 2007. Mr. Singson is a graduate of California State University at Long Beach (B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting), and the Paul Merage School of Business at University of California, Irvine (M.B.A.).
Victor Tran is a CLO Analyst supporting the ICE Canyon’s portfolio management team. Prior to ICE Canyon, Mr. Tran was a CLO Analyst at Ares Investment Management where he was responsible for reporting and monitoring the CLO funds. Previously, Mr. Tran served as the Portfolio Analyst at Deutsche Bank where he was responsible for settlement of high yield CDO trades and monitoring the performance of CLO portfolios. Mr. Tran is a graduate of California State University of Fullerton ( B.S. in Business Administration with concentration in Finance and Entrepreneurship).
Silvia K. Inzunza-Mendoza
Silvia K. Inzunza-Mendoza is a Trading Assistant. Prior to ICE Canyon in 2009, Ms. Inzunza-Mendoza worked at Countrywide Financial Corporation as an analyst in the Operations group overseeing various cash management and accounting functions related to mortgages and derivatives. Ms. Inzunza-Mendoza is a graduate of California State University, Northridge (B.S. in Kinesiology).
Avril Pomper is a Managing Director responsible for European Business Development and Client Relations. Ms. Pomper has held numerous senior leadership roles with the main focus of building successful sales distribution franchises. Prior to joining ICE Canyon, Ms. Pomper held the position of European Head of Fixed Income Currencies and Financial Products at Royal Bank of Canada for 7 years where she was responsible for European distribution of all Fixed Income and Currency products. She also sat on various committees including the RBC European Operating Committee and the RBC Diversity Council. She also held various internal leadership roles and was Chairwomen of the Global Senior Sales Committee and also a member of the RBC Senior Leadership Team. Prior to joining RBC, Ms. Pomper was Head of Credit and Rates Sales at Commerzbank in London where she was built out their asset backed and CDO platform in Europe. Previously, Ms. Pomper held various senior positions at Paribas, Societe Generale and Greenwich Natwest where she was Head of Fixed Income sales from 1998 to 2000. She graduated from Bristol University (BSC with honors).
Angela Kay is a Managing Director responsible for Business Development and Product Management. Prior to joining the firm in 2006, Ms. Kay worked as an Emerging Markets Analyst at TCW from 2004 to 2006. She began her career as a Geopolitical Analyst at Logos Capital, a global macro hedge fund. Ms. Kay is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania (B.A. with honors in Political Science) and University of California, Los Angeles (Masters in Public Policy specializing in International Policy and Economics).

Christy Eyster is Director of Communications responsible for ICE Canyon’s internal, external and digital communications as well as managing Investor Relations. Prior to joining ICE Canyon in 2006, Ms. Eyster worked at Jefferies & Company, Inc. in the Investment Banking division. Ms. Eyster is a graduate of Arizona State University (B.A. in Broadcast Business/Management).

Mai Yaari is the Marketing and Research Assistant supporting the Investment and Business Development team. Prior to joining ICE Canyon in 2013, Ms. Yaari was an Administrative Assistant at LS Power Development, LLC. Ms. Yaari is a graduate of New York University (B.S. in Psychology).
Partner and Chief Financial Officer, Canyon Capital Advisors
John Plaga has been the Chief Financial Officer of Canyon Capital Advisors since 1997. Prior to joining Canyon, Mr. Plaga spent three years at Trust Company of the West where he managed an accounting staff and coordinated the financial reporting of various international equity and emerging market debt portfolios. Prior to Trust Company of the West, Mr. Plaga was a Senior Auditor with Ernst & Young. Mr. Plaga is a graduate of University of Southern California (B.S., Accounting, cum laude), and he is a Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder.
Chief Compliance Officer, Canyon Capital Advisors
Doug Anderson is Chief Compliance Officer for Canyon Capital Advisors and ICE Canyon LLC. He is responsible for monitoring compliance with the federal and state securities laws as well as client mandates. Prior to joining Canyon, he was a senior Securities Compliance Examiner with the Pacific Regional Office of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for over five years. He was responsible for conducting compliance examinations (routine and cause) of various investment advisers and investment companies. Mr. Anderson is a graduate of the University of California, Davis (B.A., Economics and Communications) and Vermont Law School (J.D.,cum laude).

Jonathan Kaplan is Canyon Capital Advisor’s General Counsel. Prior to joining Canyon, Mr. Kaplan was a partner at Sidley Austin LLP, where Mr. Kaplan acted as outside counsel for Canyon and a number of other investment fund clients. Mr. Kaplan is a graduate of University of California, San Diego (B.A., Political Science) and New York University School of Law (J.D.).
Robert Herin, CFA
Chief Technology Officer, Canyon Capital Advisors
Robert Herin is responsible for all Information Technology. Prior to joining Canyon in 2015, Mr. Herin was Managing Director and Global Head of Technology for Apollo Global Management. Previously, he served as Chief Information Officer for The Baupost Group in Boston and Chief Technology Officer and Head of Risk Management for Drake Management in New York. Earlier in his career, Mr. Herin led large-scale software development and integration efforts as Head of Application Development for PIMCO in Newport Beach and as Co-Head of the Aladdin Front-End Software Development team for BlackRock in New York. Mr. Herin is a CFA Charterholder, a certified Financial Risk Manager, a member of the Dean’s Leadership Council of The Paul Merage School of Business at UC Irvine, and a member of NYSSA. He graduated from UCLA (B.S., Mathematics), and UC Irvine (MBA).
